At the 1998 Design Automation Conference, Peter Feldmann, Tak Young,
and I gave a tutorial on Interconnect Extraction
and Analysis in High-Frequency, Sub-Micron, Digital
VLSI Design.
Peter's first part,

Cycling is and has always been an important part of my life.
One of my personal bests is 200 miles in 9 hours 53 minutes
(ridden at the 2006 Davis Double Century on May 20, 2006).
In 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2005, I did the
Mount
Washington bicycle hillclimb (7.6 miles, 4700 feet of
vertical gain).
My best time for this climb is 1:11:08, which in
the 2002 race was good enough for 2nd place in the 45-49
age group; some pictures from my 2002 ride.
The Devil Mountain Double Century has 18,800 feet of elevation gain;
see the
elevation chart.
This is probably the most climbing I have done in one day;
results
of the 2005 edition.
Another one of my favorite rides with lots of climbing
is the Hillier Than Thou Century;
results
of the 2001 race;
results
of the 2002 race;
results
of the 2003 race.
