     NAME
          mla - macros for MLA format

     SYNOPSIS
          troff -mla [ options ] file ...

     DESCRIPTION
          This package of nroff and troff(1) macro definitions pro-
          vides a canned formatting facility for papers in the Modern
          Language Association (MLA) format.

          The macro requests are defined below.

     FILES
          /sys/lib/tmac/tmac.la

     SEE ALSO
          troff(1), ms(6)

          Various books that the MLA wants you to buy.

     BUGS
          Does not support all MLA options.

          Not well tested.

          The UL macro does not work when the underlined text is on
          more than one line (neither does ms(6)!).

     REQUESTS
          ML first last teacher class date title - call at the begin-
          ning of the document to set everything up
          PP - begin a new paragraph
          WC - begin works cited page
          CI - begin a new citation for the works cited page
          QS - start a block quote
          QE - end a block quote
          UL underlined [ append [ prepend ] ] - underline text, does
          not work with nroff
