Employment
Most of my career has been spent as a Member of Technical Staff in the
Computing
Science Research Center at
Bell
Laboratories. In June, 2000, I was promoted to Distinguished
Member of Technical Staff.
I also spent a year (1973-1974) as a postdoc at Harvard and two and
a half years teaching: a half year (1973) as a Lecturer at Harvard,
a year (1977-1978) as a Visiting Lecturer at the University of California,
Berkeley, and a year (1978-1979) as an Assistant Professor at the University
of Michigan.
